Burnout and resting

Loving the profession I’m doing plus constantly chasing projects is a perfect match for frequent burnouts.
Even if I’m aware of this tendency, only this year I made RESTING a priority. With the help of my business mentor I realized the reason, why I can never stop, – and for the first time, I PLANNED to include recovery time after an intense period.

It doesn’t mean that I won’t be doing anything, just shifting priorities for a while:
→ swapping work time to spending time with loved ones
→ from late nights to earlier rest
→ exploring new places nearby and far away, to shake up the daily routine
→ shifting from saying “yes” to learning to say “no” (or later)
So I’m learning that resting doesn’t mean wasting precious time but actually helps to move towards the right direction.
Can you relate? I would love to hear what rest looks like for you? If you, like me feel guilty for resting? Do you find it hard to switch off — even when you need to?
